We are hiring Fuel Dispatchers in the Billings, Butte, and Missoula area.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the safe, efficient, and timely delivery of petroleum products to designated locations.
- Monitor and manage fuel inventory using real-time software systems to maintain optimal stock levels and effective load planning.
- Dispatch loads to drivers using communication devices, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all assignments.
- Oversee driver schedules, routes, and load assignments, adjusting based on real-time operational needs and conditions.
- Communicate proactively with drivers to resolve issues and provide operational support.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, inventory, compliance documentation, and daily dispatch logs.
- Ensure all dispatching activities comply with DOT, MCS, and FMCSA regulations as well as company safety standards.
- Participate in on-call rotations and respond to after-hours operational needs when required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in logistics or transportation preferred.
- Experience in transportation, logistics, or fuel/petroleum dispatch preferred.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, along with strong problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with DOT, MCS, and FMCSA regulations and fuel transport safety standards; relevant certifications are a plus.
- Proficiency with dispatch software and inventory management systems.
