Responsibilities
- Perform mosquito surveillance and identify breeding sites through thorough inspections of outdoor areas.
- Apply approved chemical agents safely and effectively using specialized equipment, adhering to all pesticide management and safety protocols.
- Operate company vehicles, power tools, hand tools, and machinery required for pest control activities.
- Utilize ladder safety procedures when accessing elevated areas and follow confined space entry safety procedures when necessary.
- Maintain detailed records of chemical applications, treatment locations, and pest activity reports for compliance and future reference.
- Engage with customers professionally to explain treatment plans, answer questions, and promote pest prevention strategies.
- Follow all safety protocols related to respiratory protection, chemical handling, and pesticide application to ensure personal and team safety.
Requirements
- Prior outdoor work experience in lawn care, farming, landscaping, or agriculture is highly desirable.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with familiarity in using hand tools, power tools, ladder use, and farm machinery.
- Knowledge of pest control principles including pesticide management, integrated pest management (IPM), and pesticide application techniques.
- Valid driver’s license with experience operating company vehicles; ability to drive safely in various outdoor conditions.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients.
- Physical ability to perform outdoor tasks that may involve climbing ladders, lifting equipment or chemicals, and working in varying weather conditions.
