Journeyman Pipefitter

Red Moon Elite is seeking highly skilled JOURNEYMAN PIPEFITTERS with strong experience in commercial and industrial piping installations. This project demands professionals capable of executing precision work in fast-paced environments, working both independently and collaboratively to meet project deadlines and quality expectations.

• x4- 10H days

Job Specific Duties:

• Per diem is available dependent on candidates home address
• 40H Week
• Must pass pre employment fitters test at clients home office in Albemarle, NC
• Material- Stainless Steel Pipe

General Job Description:

Lays out, fabricates, prepares and checks pipe against job specifications for assembly at the job site.

Functional Requirements:

Interprets spool sheet diagrams to determine size, shapes and angles of required pipes, pipe fittings, flanges, etc.; plans sequence of fabrication; measures and cuts pipe; cleans and prepares pipe by grinding, bends and threads pipe - may operate bending machine; assembles and joins pipe and pipe fittings; may operate hydraulic lift to relocate pipe.

Qualification Standards:

• Four (4) years of experience in specified skill (depending on mechanic level)
• Written pre-employment qualification test
• Job site orientation
• Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, safety harness with lanyard, etc.)

Tools/Equipment:

Employee may be required to provide the following: tool box, pipe wrenches, crescent wrenches, level, torpedo level, square, tri square, plumb bob, channel lock, hammer, center punch, flat or regular screwdriver, Phillips screwdriver, set of combination wrenches, tape, folding rule, wrap around, work gloves, striker, cutting goggles, tip cleaner, chisel, rain suit.

Physical Involvement:

Employee may be required to do the following: climbing ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc. above and below ground level; maintaining balance on ladders, scaffolds structures, etc.; reaching in all directions, handling and manipulating objects and materials; coordinating the movements of eyes, hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment; lifting 30 to 50 pounds from ground level, waist level, and/or overhead; carrying objects, tools, equipment, etc.; standing; sitting; walking; pushing; pulling; bending; kneeling; crouching/squatting; crawling; seeing with or without correction; hearing with or without correction.

Mental Involvement:

Employee may be required to do the following: following set procedures and standards; applying basic mathematical skills; planning work and selecting proper tools; comparing and understanding differences in the size, shape and form of lines, figures and objects; picturing and evaluating solid objects from drawing or diagrams using standards that can be measured or checked; following oral and/or written directions, plans and blueprints; reading; writing; ability to recognize and report safety hazards.

Work Environment Factors:

• Location: industrial construction sites and/or fabrication shop
• Mobility Barriers to Access Job Site: uneven ground level; obstructed pathways; work performed at low and/or high elevations; work performed in confined areas
• Climatic/Environmental Conditions at Job Site: predominately outdoor climate; may be exposed to extreme hot or cold weather, excessive humidity, rain, etc.; various noise levels caused by tools, machinery, equipment, etc.; potential exposure to chemical substances
