Lead Cafe Server Barista

73 Cafe at The Gant Hotel is looking for a Lead/Supervisor Café Server & Barista — someone who takes real pride in great coffee, genuine hospitality, and leading a team that delivers both. You’ll be the day-to-day leader across our café, poolside service, room service, and a small retail operation inside one of Aspen’s most iconic hotel properties.

What You’ll DoDial in espresso every morning and own drink quality across all service areasLead, coach, and schedule a team of baristas, servers, and pool attendantsRun daily café opening, service, and closing operationsOversee seasonal poolside food & beverage service for hotel guestsCoordinate room service orders — from preparation through delivery to guest roomsManage a light retail program: packaged coffee, merchandise, and grab-and-go itemsDevelop and launch seasonal specialty drinks that keep the menu freshHandle ordering, inventory, and vendor relationships for coffee, supplies, and retailMaintain the café environment to a luxury hotel standard — clean, inviting, and dialed inBe the face of 73 Cafe for Gant guests and Aspen locals alikeWho You Are2 years in specialty coffee or café service, with lead or trainer experienceStrong espresso skills — you can calibrate, steam, and pour art with consistencyA natural leader who coaches in real time and leads from the floor, not the back officeWarm and genuine with guests — hotel visitors and daily regulars alikeCalm and composed when the morning rush, a pool complaint, and a room service order all hit at onceDetail-oriented about cleanliness, presentation, and the little things guests noticeReliable, self-directed, and comfortable managing multiple service areasFood handler’s certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)Even Better If You HaveExperience in a luxury hotel, resort, or high-end caféSCA barista certification or equivalentExperience with pool or outdoor F&B serviceRoom service or in-room dining coordination experienceTIPS certification or responsible alcohol service trainingFamiliarity with the Aspen or Colorado mountain resort marketWhat We OfferCompetitive hourly pay tip pool, access to Health insuranc; Free coffee and discounted shift meals Paid time off — vacation, sick leave, and holidays Ski pass benefit (subject to terms)Support for SCA certifications, coffee education, and professional growth.
