Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, providing them with menus and information about daily specials.
- Take food and drink orders accurately using the POS system, ensuring all requests are communicated effectively to the kitchen staff.
- Provide recommendations for food and beverage pairings, showcasing upselling techniques to enhance the guest experience.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining a clean and organized dining area.
- Assist in bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness throughout the restaurant, including resetting tables for new guests.
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism, ensuring customer satisfaction at all times.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and fellow servers to ensure smooth service during peak hours.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the restaurant environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in the food industry or restaurant setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tables and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent hospitality skills with a friendly demeanor that enhances guest interactions.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and processing payments accurately.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with POS systems is an advantage but not mandatory; training will be provided.
