Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces to uphold high standards of hygiene.
- Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and recreational spaces by sweeping, mopping, dusting, and restocking supplies.
- Care for floors through proper sweeping, mopping, polishing, and carpet cleaning techniques to ensure a pristine appearance.
- Manage laundry duties including washing, folding, and organizing linens and towels efficiently.
- Follow established safety procedures when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment to ensure a safe working environment.
- Report maintenance issues or damages promptly to ensure swift resolution and guest safety.
- Support housekeeping management by assisting with inventory control of cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Understand that some shifts may be longer depending upon the amount of rooms that need to be completed. You may not always get done at the same time every day.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in cleaning or custodial roles; hotel or hospitality experience is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including polishing, buffing, and carpet cleaning.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently independently or as part of a team.
- Familiarity with janitorial equipment and cleaning chemicals; industrial cleaning experience is a plus.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during busy periods.
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude while working in fast-paced environments.
