The Machine Operator will monitor the quality of the plastics parts after they are demolded to ensure the parts are to quality standards. ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:Operates rotational molding machine to meet or exceed plant metrics related to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Morale/InventoryDetects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisorMaintains the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulationsPerforms prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required per the P.M. charts.Performs but not limited to the following tasks: material filling, deburring, molding, all bench operations, and inspection of productSafely works at a pace that meets company expectations e.g., parts per hour or minutes per part as quoted to customer.Accepts and receives frequent supervision and assistance regarding machine set-upAn individual in this position must be able to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities listed above. Personal protective equipment is required in appropriate areas. There may also be intermittent exposure to fumes, moving mechanical parts and tool vibration.The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an individual would encounter while performing the essential functions of this position.
