Social Media Intern
You will be the voice of Red Hook FC on Instagram. This is an active, day-to-day role that requires consistency, creativity, and a genuine love of football. You are not just scheduling posts, you are helping build a community. Every caption, every story, every reply is an opportunity to make someone feel like they belong to something.
Responsibilities
- Manage and execute the daily Instagram posting calendar during the Spring 2026 season
- Write captions that are on-brand, clear, community-driven, and digestible
- Publish and manage Instagram Stories for matchday coverage, announcements, and fan engagement
- React and engage with fan content, tags, and mentions to grow community presence
- Coordinate with the video editor and game day media crew to receive and post timely content
- Track basic engagement metrics (reach, saves, shares) and flag top-performing content
What We’re Looking For
- Demonstrated experience managing an Instagram account (personal, brand, or client)
- Strong writing instincts, concise, punchy, authentic. No corporate speak.
- General understanding of what performs on Instagram Reels, Stories, and grid posts
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple content pieces simultaneously
- Available on game days (home games potential playoff dates) for real-time posting
- Interest or background in football, sports, or community-based organizations is a plus

Content Collection Intern
This role is about being in the moment and capturing it. You will be on the ground at every Red Hook FC home game, shooting footage and photography that fuels our social platforms. We are not looking for someone to just point a camera. We want someone who understands the feeling of a matchday, the buildup, the tension, the release, and knows how to find those moments before they happen. Our visual identity is energetic, raw, and authentic. Fast. Real. Alive.
This position covers the full content production lifecycle from raw capture through delivery of organized, properly labeled assets. Strategy and art direction are handled by the media team.
Responsibilities
- Attend all 5 Spring 2026 home games and any playoff games RHFC qualifies for
- Attend pre-match creative planning meetings
- Capture pre-match, in-match, and post-match photo and video content
- Shoot footage suitable for short-form vertical content (Reels, TikToks) and long-form YouTube highlight use
- Capture crowd, atmosphere, and community moments, not just on-pitch action
- Deliver all raw files to the shared Dropbox folder within 24 hours of each game
- Clearly label and organize all delivered assets by date and content type
- Communicate any notable shots, highlights, or moments to the media team post-game
- Follow the RHFC visual identity guidelines for tone, energetic, passionate, raw, authentic
Technical Expectations
- Must own or have access to a capable camera (DSLR, mirrorless, or high-quality smartphone rig)
- Comfortable shooting in variable outdoor lighting conditions, day and evening games
- Able to capture stable handheld video, smooth movement, no unnecessary shake
- Experience shooting sports or live events is strongly preferred
- Vertical (9:16) and horizontal (16:9) framing awareness required
- Deliverables: organized raw photo selects raw or lightly trimmed video clips

You'll be hands-on, visible, and integral to what we put out on match days and beyond.
Responsibilities
- Inventory & Organization: Maintain a clean, accurate inventory of all RHFC merchandise. Keep stock organized, catalogued, and ready to move, whether it's kits, scarves, or T-shirt drops.
- Game Day Sales: Manage and oversee merchandise operations at Red Hook Fields on match days. Own the table, support fans, and represent the club with energy and pride.
- Online Sales & Fulfillment: Oversee the online store alongside game day sales. Process incoming orders promptly, coordinate fulfillment, and ensure every fan gets their gear on time.

You'll be the first point of contact for every fan who walks through the gates — welcoming people, explaining our free ticketing model, collecting donations, and running our matchday raffle. This isn't a back-office role. You're front and center, setting the tone for the entire matchday experience.
Responsibilities
- Fan Check-In: Manage entry operations from gates open through kickoff. Greet every fan and make them feel welcome from the moment they arrive.
- Ticketing Education: Clearly explain RHFC's free admission model to incoming fans — how it works, what donations support, and where the money goes.
- Donation Tracking: Accurately collect and log all matchday donations, maintaining a clean and honest record throughout the event.
- Raffle Operations: Sell raffle tickets, track entries, manage inventory, and coordinate the draw with the Ticketing Lead.

Red Hook FC is looking for a dependable, proactive, and detail-driven Operations Intern to help run the engine of our matchday. You'll be on the ground before the gates open and the last one out after the final whistle — coordinating setup, supporting staff and vendors, and making sure everything runs on time and on plan. If you want to understand how a football club actually operates, this is where you learn it.
Responsibilities
- Field Setup: Arrive early to lead or support the setup of all matchday elements — sporting equipment, signage, partner activations, the ticketing and merch tables.
- Run-of-Show Coordination: Help execute the matchday timeline on schedule from gates open through final whistle.
- Staff & Volunteer Support: Serve as a point of contact for matchday crew, helping direct people where they need to be and flagging issues to the Operations lead in real time.
- Post-Match Breakdown: Lead teardown after the final whistle. Pack equipment, clear the venue, and conduct a walkthrough to ensure Red Hook Fields is left in good condition.
