DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and prepares necessary adjusting entries in a timely, effective manner.
- Prepares and distributes daily cash reports.
- Prepare and review daily journal entries.
- Record fixed asset acquisitions and dispositions in the accounting systems.
- Prepares monthly financial analysis of general ledger accounts for Controller.
- Facilitates the flow of information throughout the property, by attending regularly scheduled departmental meetings.
- Held accountable, to a high degree, for the accuracy, confidentiality, and thoroughness of departmental records and reports.
- Track the compilation of project costs into fixed asset accounts, and closeout those accounts once the related projects have been completed.
- Review and update the detailed schedule of fixed assets and accumulated depreciation.
- Reconcile bank statement to the general ledger.
- Investigate and resolve financial statement questions from departments
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field from a four-year college or university required.
- Must possess effective communication and organizational skills.
- Minimum of one year experience in general ledger accounting, with a concentration in balance sheet account reconciliation, fixed assets, financial analysis, and spreadsheet creation, required.
- Must be extremely numbers-oriented and computer-literate, with superior spreadsheet skills and proficiency in an accounting software system a plus.
