DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains all trash receptacles in outdoor public areas, ensuring the area is clean and free of litter.
- Cleans outside public areas, sidewalks, and parking areas; picks up leaves and litter.
- Trims and prunes tree branches.
- Operates and maintains power lawn mower, sweepers, chainsaws, trimmers, scrubbers, power washers etc. Ensuring the equipment is clean and in proper working condition.
- Ensures all plant beds are free of weeds, dead flowers, etc.
- Operates snow removal equipment, if necessary.
- Maintains water features.
- Applies fertilizers and chemicals as instructed.
- Maintains and repair irrigation systems.
- May assist the Wastewater Treatment Operators with repairs and maintenance.
- Maintains spray fields and associated equipment.
- Assist other departments when needed.
- Adheres to Company, Departmental and safety policies and procedures and OSHA regulations.
- Maintains superior communication via email and pass downs to entire department.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Grounds maintenance experience required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
