Field Service Electrical Technician

We are seeking a skilled Field Service Electrical Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electrical control systems and equipment at customer sites. The ideal candidate brings strong technical knowledge, hands-on experience with industrial electrical systems, and the ability to work independently in the field while representing our company with professionalism and upholding our core values.

This position offers competitive pay, daily per diem while on-site, comprehensive benefits, paid vacation, and holidays. When not traveling to customer locations, you will work out of our climate-controlled panel shop alongside our production team.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, wire, and commission electrical control systems, panels, and equipment at customer sites.
• Interpret and apply electrical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Diagnose and repair electrical issues in industrial control systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance and testing to minimize downtime.
• Provide on-site technical support, ensuring issues are resolved safely and efficiently.
• Communicate clearly with customers about findings, solutions, and recommended improvements.
• Adhere to all safety protocols, electrical codes, and company standards.
• Document work performed, service reports, and maintain accurate records.
• Collaborate with internal engineering, production, and project teams.
• Represent the company with professionalism, aligning with core values while on customer sites.
• Assist in panel builds, wiring, and testing in the climate-controlled shop.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and quality assurance efforts.

Qualifications & Skills

• 2 years of experience as an electrical technician, field service tech, or similar role
• Experience installing and troubleshooting control panels and electrical equipment in the field
• Strong knowledge of electrical control systems, industrial wiring, and motor controls
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals
• Familiarity with PLCs, VFDs, instrumentation, and troubleshooting industrial automation systems
• Skilled in using electrical test equipment (multimeters, megohm testers, etc.)
• Proficiency with basic hand and power tools
• Able to pass a drug screen
• Excellent written and verbal English language communication skills
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
• Professional communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Commitment to safety, quality, and company core values
• Willingness to travel for field assignments and adapt to varying work environments
• Valid driver's license is required and must have reliable transportation
• Must have the ability to obtain a TWIC card
• Ability to apply HSE best practices and adhere to the RED Group and/or client safety programs, including, but not limited to PPE, LOTO, etc.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $35.00 per hour
