Key Responsibilities
- Install, wire, and commission electrical control systems, panels, and equipment at customer sites.
- Interpret and apply electrical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Diagnose and repair electrical issues in industrial control systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance and testing to minimize downtime.
- Provide on-site technical support, ensuring issues are resolved safely and efficiently.
- Communicate clearly with customers about findings, solutions, and recommended improvements.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, electrical codes, and company standards.
- Document work performed, service reports, and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with internal engineering, production, and project teams.
- Represent the company with professionalism, aligning with core values while on customer sites.
- Assist in panel builds, wiring, and testing in the climate-controlled shop.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and quality assurance efforts.
Qualifications & Skills
- 2 years of experience as an electrical technician, field service tech, or similar role
- Experience installing and troubleshooting control panels and electrical equipment in the field
- Strong knowledge of electrical control systems, industrial wiring, and motor controls
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals
- Familiarity with PLCs, VFDs, instrumentation, and troubleshooting industrial automation systems
- Skilled in using electrical test equipment (multimeters, megohm testers, etc.)
- Proficiency with basic hand and power tools
- Able to pass a drug screen
- Excellent written and verbal English language communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
- Professional communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Commitment to safety, quality, and company core values
- Willingness to travel for field assignments and adapt to varying work environments
- Valid driver's license is required and must have reliable transportation
- Must have the ability to obtain a TWIC card
- Ability to apply HSE best practices and adhere to the RED Group and/or client safety programs, including, but not limited to PPE, LOTO, etc.
