Duties
- Prepare a variety of coffee and espresso drinks
- Operate POS systems
- Handle retail sales transactions confidently while maintaining proper cash handling procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food handling stations, beverage equipment, and dining spaces to meet food safety standards.
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders promptly, and offering product recommendations.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve multiple customers quickly without sacrificing quality.
- Follow food safety protocols during food preparation and beverage service to ensure a safe environment for all guests.
Experience
- Barista experience not needed.
- Experience using POS systems.
- Strong skills in retail math, cash handling, and processing cash transactions accurately.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and work efficiently under pressure.
- Basic math skills for managing sales totals, change, and inventory counts.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper cleaning practices in a food industry setting.
Interaction with customers is a must.
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32.0 per week
