Electrical Design Engineer

We are partnering with an established, North Carolina-based manufacturer of advanced CNC machinery and industrial equipment. With decades of engineering innovation and a reputation for building high-performance, precision manufacturing systems, the company designs, manufactures, and assembles sophisticated equipment used across a variety of industries.

This is an opportunity for an Electrical Design Engineer who enjoys hands-on engineering, solving complex technical problems, and seeing their designs come to life on the manufacturing floor.

What You'll Do

• Design electrical schematics, control panel layouts, cable assemblies, and pneumatic circuits for industrial CNC machinery.
• Develop and maintain electrical designs using AutoCAD Electrical.
• Select electrical components and maintain bills of materials (BOMs).
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers, manufacturing, and assembly technicians to troubleshoot and improve machine designs.
• Support PLC-based control systems, industrial communication networks, and electrical design standards.

What We're Looking For

• 5 years of electrical design experience with CNC machinery, industrial automation, or capital equipment.
• Proficiency in electrical CAD, preferably AutoCAD Electrical.
• Experience designing industrial control panels, electrical schematics, and machine wiring.
• Familiarity with PLCs, industrial controls, and pneumatic systems.
• Understanding of electrical standards such as UL 508A, NFPA 79, NEC, CSA, or CE.
• Technical bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
