Responsibilities
Loading and Unloading Operations:
- Responsible for loading and unloading of shipments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Coordinate with drivers for outgoing shipments.
- Utilize equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and yard mules to move freight safely and efficiently.
- Follow safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
- Assist with conducting regular safety inspections of equipment and loading dock areas, addressing any hazards or concerns promptly.
- Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for damage, discrepancies, or quality issues, documenting findings as needed.
- Ensure that goods are handled and stored appropriately to prevent damage or loss.
- Maintain open lines of communication with Logistic Coordinators, the Director of Logistics, and other relevant departments to coordinate activities and resolve issues.
- Relay instructions, updates, and directives to dock workers effectively, ensuring clarity and understanding.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in logistics or warehouse management is a plus.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices for warehouse operations.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to upholding quality standards.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) regularly.
- Comfort working in various weather conditions, as loading docks may be exposed to outdoor elements.
- Willingness to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
