Duties
- Supervise children during playtime, activities, meals, naps, and transitions to ensure safety at all times
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and social skills for toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary school-age children
- Provide attentive care for infants, toddlers, and children with special needs or disabilities, tailoring activities to individual development levels
- Maintain open communication with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and daily experiences
- Apply behavior management techniques to encourage positive conduct and resolve conflicts effectively
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols including first aid procedures and mandated reporting laws in case of incidents or concerns
- Support classroom or daycare routines by organizing activities that foster childhood development and early learning
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in daycare centers, preschools, babysitting, nannying, or youth programs
- Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices
- Experience caring for infants through elementary school-age children with diverse needs
- Familiarity with activity planning tailored to different age groups including toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age children
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing training in childhood safety standards is preferred
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with parents/guardians and team members while maintaining professionalism
- Knowledge of behavior management strategies and classroom experience that supports positive child interactions
