This is a hybrid role in Beverly Hills, CA
We are helping our client fill a Bookeeper role. Our client is a small, family-owned asset and property management company overseeing approximately $50 million in assets. They are seeking a detail-oriented, dependable bookkeeper with property management experience to handle day-to-day accounting functions while also providing light administrative support in our office.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting / Bookkeeping (Approx. 70%)
- Manage the Accounts Payable inbox and ensure invoices and receipts are recorded accurately in AppFolio.
- Run and review the aging payables report, preparing payments for approval. • Process asset management fees.
- Review and send delinquency and lease expiration reports. • Send tenant statements and handle payment-related inquiries.
- Perform credit card reconciliations and bank reconciliations for 16 accounts.
- Set up new tenant accounts in AppFolio and enter new leases.
- Assist with annual CAM reconciliations, estimates, updating recurring tenant charges.
Administrative Support (Approx. 30%)
- Maintain organized digital and paper records.
- Order office supplies and manage vendor relationships.
- Assist with scheduling, correspondence, and general office needs.
- Provide occasional support to leadership for special projects.
Qualifications
- Strong experience in bookkeeping or accounting support.
- AppFolio experience strongly preferred.
- Moderate Excel skills (sorting, filtering, basic formulas).
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Property management accounting experience strongly preferred.
- CAM reconciliation experience preferred
Salary Range
$55,000 to 70,000 per year
