Although duties such as greeting visitors are standard, front desk clerkshave different responsibilities in each industry. Hotel clerksmanage reservations, check guests into their rooms, arrange payment, and respond to customer problems or complaints.The front desk clerk/receptionist performs routine clerical, secretarial and administrativework in answering telephones, receiving the public, providing customerassistance, data processing, and record-keeping. Some skills required are but not limited to:
