Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Supply Chain Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our supply chain processes, ensuring the efficient procurement of materials, and facilitating continuous improvement initiatives. This position requires a strong understanding of supply chain management principles, as well as proficiency in relevant software tools.
Responsibilities
- Identify reliable suppliers and maintain relationships to secure optimal terms and pricing.
- Monitor supplier performance ensuring timely deliveries and adherence to quality standards.
- Develop and implement effective inventory control strategies to optimize stock levels, minimize carrying costs, and reduce stockouts or overstocks.
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Procure materials and supplies in alignment with production schedules and inventory levels.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand and manage inventory effectively.
- Utilize lean methodologies and Kaizen principles to identify areas for continuous improvement within the supply chain.
- Analyze data using SQL and Tableau to generate insights that drive decision-making.
- Maintain accurate records system for tracking inventory levels, orders, and shipments.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials while maintaining quality standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- One (1) experience in supply chain management or similar role.
- Solid understanding of procurement, inventory management, logistics, and warehousing in a manufacturing environment
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in SQL and experience using Tableau for data visualization.
- Familiarity with SAP ERP systems is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies such as Kaizen.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficient in using supply chain management software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, inventory management software, SQL or other reporting tools)
- Experience maintaining and understanding ERP data (e.g., Bills of Material, Item Masters, etc.).
- Professional certifications such as APICS (e.g., CPIM, CSCP) or CSCMP are advantageous.
