Role Description:

Key Responsibilities:
- Serves as the immediate leader for clerks, providing direction and advice regarding operational problems, resolving complaints, and coaching staff for performance improvement.
- Uses a customer-focused model for supervision and communications.
- Consults with the Director of Operations on issues such as attendance, performance, and safety.
- Ensures that all accidents/injuries are immediately reported to the Director of Operations.
- Serves as the primary contact for other clerks and drivers in emergencies.
- Ensures all clerks and drivers promptly understand policies or other information obtained from the customer or transportation company.
- Maintains a positive attitude/image towards customers and employees.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Skills and Qualifications Required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or yard management.
- Familiarity with trailer inspection procedures and spotting operations.
- Understanding of safety regulations and PPE requirements.
- Ability to use electronic inventory systems and generate reports.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (Microsoft Office, inventory software).
- Ability to work in outdoor environments and perform hands-on tasks.
- Commitment to enforcing safety and compliance standards.
- Ability to work flexible hours and respond to operational needs.
