Position Summary
Red Baron Transportation is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Check-In Clerk to join our logistics team in Rincon, GA. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the check-in process for over-the-road (OTR) drivers, ensuring all trailers are properly inspected, documented, and processed upon arrival. You will serve as a key liaison between drivers and internal teams, helping maintain smooth and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and guide OTR drivers upon arrival, serving as their primary point of contact.
- Ensure all trailers are accurately checked in using customer-based systems.
- Print and manage Bills of Lading (BOLs); ensure all paperwork is signed, filed, and distributed correctly.
- Communicate system errors, driver concerns, and safety issues to the Lead Clerk or Site Manager.
- Report any accidents or injuries immediately to the Site Manager.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.
- Monitor and respond to emails throughout the day.
- Retrieve and distribute documents as requested by internal departments.
- Adhere to all Red Baron Transportation and customer policies and procedures.
- Maintain punctual and reliable attendance during scheduled shifts.
- Submit time-off requests in advance for approval.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Schedule
Flexible shifts available:
- 36–48 hours per week
- 2–2-3 schedule (rotating days on/off)
- Day or Night shifts available
PPE Requirements
- Steel-toe or composite-toe boots required.
- Safety vest and other necessary PPE will be provided by the company.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay Rate: $15.00 – $17.00 per hour (based on experience)
