What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Propane Dispenser position at Red Barn Propane Bait & Tackle?
Red Barn Propane, Bait & Tackle is hiring a Seasonal Propane Dispenser for our busy propane season.
This is a full-time seasonal position. The primary responsibility is safely filling customer propane cylinders while providing friendly, dependable customer service. Previous propane experience is not required; training will be provided.
Responsibilities include:
- Safely inspect and fill propane cylinders
- Load, unload, and handle propane cylinders
- Follow all required propane safety procedures
- Assist customers with propane refills
- Keep the propane dispensing area clean and organized
- Help with other store or outdoor duties as needed during slower periods
Schedule:
- Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
- Saturdays may be required based on business needs
Requirements:
- Dependable and able to report to work on time
- Safety-minded and able to follow procedures carefully
- Comfortable working outdoors in cold and changing weather conditions
- Able to safely handle propane cylinders and perform the physical duties of the position
- Good customer service skills
- Reliable transportation
- Must complete required propane training/certification before independently dispensing propane
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test
Experience with propane, retail, equipment, construction, farming, or other hands-on work is helpful but not required.
Pay: From $10.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
