Red Ball Oxygen Co., Inc. is a privately owned distributor of Industrial, Specialty, and Medical Gases, welding and industrial equipment, and safety supplies. We have 22 retail operations in Louisiana, Texas, Arkansas, and Oklahoma with packaged gas production capabilities in Shreveport, LA, Dallas/Fort Worth, TX, Houston, TX, and Geismar, LA. We are looking for an outgoing, energetic, detailed oriented Purchasing Agent for our corporate location in Shreveport, LA.
A purchasing agent at Red Ball Oxygen performs vendor research and selection to enhance profitability, reducing operating cost and boosting efficiency. This person will use quarterly and annual data to determine purchasing needs and performing inventory management. They will research and compare suppliers, goods, and services. Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with clients, vendors, and other team members. Conduct research for new components and suppliers while using analytical and numerical problem solving abilities. Close attention to detail and accuracy, manage order confirmations, and update branch personnel on lead times and pricing discrepancies.
