Maintenance Technician

Job Summary:

Join our dedicated team as a Maintenance Technician at Red Arrow Boutique Hotel, located in Montrose, Colorado. This role is perfect for an experienced individual looking to make a significant impact in a dynamic environment. On-site accommodation may be available for the right candidate. Responsibilities:

• Direct and implement maintenance programs to maintain a zero-defect environment for guests.
• Inspect, maintain, and repair mechanical, electrical, and other equipment affecting the quality of guest experiences.
• Create a safe and attractive environment by ensuring the hotel adheres to safety standards.
• Perform repairs across the hotel, including rooms and common areas, such as plumbing fixes, painting, and electrical maintenance.
• Develop and coordinate plans for routine and preventative maintenance and renovations in consultation with hotel department managers.
• Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the hotel exterior, grounds, and exercise facilities.
• Manage the engineering budget, monitor expenditures, and implement corrective actions to align with financial objectives.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards by liaising with government and insurance inspectors and implementing necessary changes.
• Maintain up-to-date mechanical, electrical, and structural blueprints.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least two years of experience in hotel or apartment maintenance.
• HVAC certification strongly preferred.
• Proficient in basic electrical and plumbing maintenance.
• Skilled in using general maintenance tools and performing tasks such as painting, HVAC maintenance, and carpentry.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical activities such as pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, and reaching upward.
• Able to work in extreme temperatures and handle cleaning chemicals safely.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with guests and team members.
• Flexible availability, including the ability to work weekends, holidays, and on-call as needed.
