Responsibilities
- Monitor and control access to the facility using access control systems, verifying identities of employees, visitors, and contractors.
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises, including indoor and outdoor areas, to identify potential security risks or breaches.
- Utilize CCTV surveillance equipment to monitor activity across the site, ensuring compliance with security procedures.
- Respond promptly to alarms or suspicious activities, implementing emergency response procedures as needed.
- Write detailed incident reports documenting any security concerns, disturbances, or safety incidents accurately and thoroughly.
- Perform background checks on visitors or vendors when required, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Assist with conflict de-escalation and conflict management to maintain a safe environment for all individuals on site.
Experience
- Prior experience in security or law enforcement is highly desirable, with a strong understanding of physical security practices.
- Knowledge of surveillance systems such as CCTV and access control systems is essential.
- Experience in emergency response procedures including CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AED (Automated External Defibrillator) operation, and first aid is preferred.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting when necessary for patrols or equipment movement.
- Familiarity with incident report writing, law enforcement protocols, and performing background checks enhances effectiveness in this role.
- Training in conflict de-escalation techniques and conflict management ensures preparedness for challenging situations.
