đź§Ş Solvents Packaging Operators - 2nd Shift (Contract Role)
We are seeking dedicated and safety-focused Solvents Packaging Operators to join the production team at a leading global provider of mission-critical products and services for the life sciences and advanced technology industries.
This is a full-time contract position working on the 2nd shift.
đź’Ľ Key Responsibilities
As a Solvents Packaging Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient packaging of high-quality solvent products. Your duties will include:
- Packaging Operations: Working on automated and manual lines to fill, case, and stack products ranging from 4-liter bottles up to 55-gallon drums.
- Placing empty bottles on the converter.
- Placing filled bottles in cases and stacking cases on pallets.
- Performing manual filling operations from drum jacks.
- Quality Assurance:
- Taking particle count samples and running particle count tests.
- Monitoring and assisting assigned packaging operations to maintain quality standards.
- Having the authority to stop the line and notify the Quality Assurance Department of any contamination events.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Strictly adhering to all safety precautions and utilizing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). (Note: Safety shoes and long sleeves are required at all times.)
- Complying with all cGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) requirements.
- Managing hazardous and universal waste in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations (RCRA Training highly beneficial).
- Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate production records.
âś… Minimum Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Experience: 1–3 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within a chemical plant.
- Skills:
- Demonstrated mechanical ability.
- Strong basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and problem analysis skills.
- Critical decision-making ability and multi-tasking ability.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
⏰ Work Schedule & Conditions
- Shift: 2nd Shift (Monday – Friday)
- Hours: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM (Initial orientation/training may occur on the day shift.)
- Location: Paris, KY
- Working Conditions: This is a production environment where you may be exposed to occasional noise, heat, fumes, dust, and both extreme heat and cold.
