The Opportunity
We are representing a prestigious, high-volume personal injury litigation firm known for its aggressive advocacy and significant settlements. Due to continued growth, the firm is seeking five experienced Personal Injury Paralegals to join its expanding team.
This is not a role for someone who only handles intake or demands. We are looking for professionals who understand the full lifecycle of a plaintiff personal injury case—from initial client intake through litigation, settlement, and case resolution.
Core Responsibilities
End-to-End File Management
- Independently manage a robust caseload of motor vehicle accidents (MVA), premises liability, and catastrophic injury matters.
- Maintain ownership of files and proactively drive cases toward resolution.
Discovery & Case Development
- Draft, serve, and respond to Interrogatories, Requests for Production, and Requests for Admissions.
- Identify missing records and proactively follow up with clients, providers, and opposing counsel.
Medical Coordination
- Review and summarize medical records.
- Coordinate with healthcare providers and clients throughout treatment.
- Ensure files are properly developed for litigation, settlement negotiations, or trial.
Litigation Support
- Prepare Summonses and Complaints.
- Manage court filings and litigation deadlines.
- Coordinate depositions, IMEs, hearings, and trial preparation.
- Assist attorneys with motions, exhibits, and case strategy.
Lien Resolution
- Assist with Medicare, Medicaid, ERISA, and private insurance lien management.
- Support settlement and disbursement processes.
Candidate Requirements
Experience
- 2 years of plaintiff personal injury experience required.
- New York and/or New Jersey personal injury experience strongly preferred.
Technical Proficiency
- Experience with SmartAdvocate, Filevine, Needles, or similar case management systems.
- Familiarity with court filing systems and litigation procedures.
Process Knowledge
- Strong understanding of personal injury case progression, discovery, medical records management, and litigation support.
Mindset
- Highly organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Anticipates next steps rather than waiting for direction.
