Summary
Hands-on Process Engineer – Injection Molding responsible for developing, optimizing, and troubleshooting molding processes, improving cycle times and quality, and supporting mold trials and production launches. Blow molding experience is strongly preferred.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of injection molding process engineering/development experience.
- Strong knowledge of thermoplastics, molds, cooling systems, hot runners, and auxiliary equipment.
- Experience with scientific molding, process optimization, root-cause analysis, SPC, and process validation.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting molding defects and working directly on the production floor.
- Engineering degree in Plastics, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Experience with hydraulic, electric, or hybrid injection molding machines.
Requirements
- Strong ability to independently troubleshoot complex molding and tooling issues.
- Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, tolerances, and process data.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and manufacturing ERP/production systems.
- Ability to collaborate with Production, Quality, Tooling, Maintenance, and Engineering teams.
- Blow molding, scientific molding training (RJG/Paulson/AIM), regulated manufacturing, Lean/Six Sigma, or DOE experience is a plus.
