Job Summary
We are seeking a Chicken Processing Equipment Solutions Consultant to join our innovative team dedicated to advancing poultry processing technology. In this role, you will serve as a technical expert and trusted advisor, providing comprehensive solutions for chicken processing equipment through product demonstrations and technical consultation. Your expertise will help clients optimize their processing operations, improve efficiency, and implement cutting-edge automation solutions.
This is a sales role for someone who is not a sales person. You will be working with processing plants that currently use the company's equipment. The ideal candidate must possess deep industry knowledge, specifically "knowing how to talk poultry" and understanding the primary processing side of the industry. Prior experience as a complex manager or plant manager within the poultry industry is highly valued, as it provides instant credibility and insight into plant operations. A customer-centric mindset, positive attitude, and strong work ethic are essential. The ability to build strong relationships by understanding customer roles and speaking their "lingo" is paramount. The company can build your sales skills but cannot build your industry knowledge and experience.
The position includes a base salary, bonus, commissions, company car and great benefits. Travel is approximately 70-75% if the time, with overnight travel around 50% of the time. The territory is Texas, Louisiana and some adjacent areas with less business.
Position Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business, Sales, or a technical discipline; or a combination of education and experience.
- Experience: Deep poultry processing industry knowledge, specifically "knowing how to talk poultry" and understanding the primary processing side of the industry, either from working in a processing plant or selling capital equipment into a poultry processing plant.
- Functional Skills: Proven ability to research, analyze, plan and execute strategies, and other sales initiatives.
- Excellent organization skills, delegation skills, strong project management and prioritization skills to meet timelines.
- Polished presentation skills to large client groups and executives on processing optimization and key product attributes.
- Technology Aptitude/Skills: Solid PC and Microsoft Office skills.
- Language Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Leadership/behaviors: Customer focused, motivated, possessing a drive to compete and succeed; energetic, honest, ability to listen, network, mentor and influence individuals and team; can build and maintain relationships with ease.

Pay: $180,000.00 - $215,000.00 per year
