Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Production Lead to support daily manufacturing and packaging operations in a fast-paced production environment. The ideal candidate will help oversee workflow on the production floor, ensure quality and safety standards are met, support team productivity, and assist with training and coordination of production employees. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to lead by example.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support daily production activities to ensure efficiency, quality, and on-time completion of work orders
- Monitor workflow, staffing needs, and production output throughout the shift
- Train, coach, and support production employees on SOPs, safety procedures, and quality standards
- Ensure employees follow GMP, safety, and cleanroom procedures when applicable
- Assist with shift start-ups, line clearances, and production changeovers
- Conduct quality checks and address production issues in a timely manner
- Coordinate with warehouse, quality, and management teams to maintain smooth operations
- Track production metrics, downtime, and labor productivity
- Support inventory accuracy and material flow throughout the production process
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Qualifications
- 2 years of leadership or lead experience in manufacturing, packaging, or production environments
- Strong understanding of production processes, safety procedures, and quality standards
- Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced environment while maintaining productivity and morale
- Experience working in GMP, cleanroom, or regulated manufacturing environments preferred
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Basic computer skills and ability to complete production documentation accurately
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
