My client is seeking an experienced Overhead Crane Technician to join their team. We are actively seeking candidates in the Greenville-Spartanburg, SC area & Charlotte, North Carolina.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform installation, inspection, repair, and maintenance of overhead cranes and hoists according to manufacturer guidelines and OSHA standards.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system issues on crane equipment.
- Conduct load tests and ensure proper calibration and alignment of crane components.
- Assemble, disassemble, and modify crane systems as required.
- Respond to service calls and provide on-site support to resolve equipment issues efficiently.
- Complete detailed reports on maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
- Maintain compliance with safety regulations, including proper use of PPE and adherence to Crane South’s safety protocols.
The position requires 8 to 12-hour shift work, which can include Saturdays and Sundays as well as 24/7 availability, depending on customer needs.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year working as an Overhead Crane Technician.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Familiarity with control systems, including PLCs and VFDs (preferred).
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
Certifications:
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- NCCCO certification is a plus.
