Our client, Wise is a family-owned manufacturer of labels, business forms, and digital print with a strong reputation, a people-first culture, and a growing investment in the label and packaging industry. Founded in 1969, the company has approximately 250 employees across five manufacturing facilities and is expanding through acquisitions and operational growth.

The company is seeking a General Manager / Plant Manager to lead its Anderson label manufacturing operation. This is an opportunity to lead a business, build a strong team, and have a meaningful voice in the company’s future as a member of the Executive Leadership Team.

The Anderson facility is a 35,000-square-foot operation with approximately 20 employees across Production and Customer Service. The team produces custom label and tag orders for a variety of industries using digital and flexographic printing. The variety of work creates an engaging environment for a leader who enjoys solving problems, improving processes, and helping people succeed.

Reporting to the VP of Operations, this leader will have meaningful autonomy, direct access to senior leadership, and responsibility for the plant’s financial, operational, and people performance. The role calls for someone who is comfortable walking the production floor, coaching managers, working with customers, and making decisions that support profitable growth.

What You’ll Lead

• Business performance: Own the full plant P&L, manage budgets and costs, protect margins, and drive annual revenue growth of 10% or more.
• People and culture: Lead the Production and Customer Service Managers, oversee hiring and performance management, and build a culture of accountability, engagement, and development.
• Operational improvement: Apply lean principles, strengthen SOPs and training, improve changeovers, reduce waste, and use daily and weekly KPIs to improve productivity and delivery.
• Customer and supplier relationships: Partner with Sales and Customer Service on pricing, negotiations, onboarding, and repeat business. Develop supplier relationships that support quality, cost, and reliability.
• Quality, safety, and growth: Maintain a safe operation, resolve quality concerns, oversee preventive maintenance, and plan for equipment, capacity, and staffing needs.
• Company strategy: Contribute to weekly Executive Leadership Team discussions and collaborate across facilities to share improvements and support continued growth.

What You’ll Bring

• At least five years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience, including managing supervisors or managers.
• Experience in an operation with a varied product mix, custom orders, or frequent changeovers. Printing, labels, or packaging experience is a plus; the company is willing to teach the industry to a strong leader.
• Financial acumen, including experience managing P&L or budgets and understanding costs, margins, and pricing.
• Working knowledge of lean manufacturing and experience improving processes, SOPs, and performance through measurable results.
• A hands-on leadership style, strong communication skills, and the ability to develop employees and build lasting customer relationships.
• Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office tools; MIS/ERP experience is a plus.
• A bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations, business, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience is welcome.

This is a full-time, salaried position, primarily working first shift Monday through Friday, with responsibility for an operation that also runs a second shift Monday through Thursday. The role requires regular time on the production floor and residence within approximately 20 minutes of the Anderson plant or willingness to relocate.
