What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Practitioner - Wound Care - Part Time position at Recruit Secure?
Recruit Secure is collaborating with a for-profit Healthcare organization that is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and caring RN Nurse Practitioners (N-P) with expertise in Wound Care for direct hire. The company provides Nurse-Practitioners to Skilled Nursing homes in the Pittsburgh - Kittannany, PA area to work with the facility's nursing team to improve quality care and reduce re-hospitalizations. Additionally, the Nurse Practitioner will lead a Wound Prevention Program in the facility responsible for screening new admissions, assessments and risks and implementing precautionary measures. The N-P will be supporting 1 facility and will be about 1 - 2 days of work. The schedules have some flexibility. This is a part-time position and may grow in the future. The company provides a high level of support (on-going Physician collaboration) and dedicated Scribes for documentation.
The ideal candidate will be a board-certified Nurse Practitioner with experience assessing, evaluating, and documenting skin and wound conditions, and will have an in-depth knowledge of treatment protocols.

Requirements:
- PA Licensed Nurse Practitioner
- Wound Care certifications a big plus
- At least 1- 2 years’ experience in the care and treatment of wounds
- In-depth understanding of Wound Care protocols and treatments
- Ability to train Nursing teams on policies and protocols for the prevention and care of wounds
- Experience in Skilled Nursing Homes a plus but not mandatory
- Basic Computer skills and experience with EMR software
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to collaborative with Nursing teams
