Ride Inspector
Recreation Engineering, LLC • Full-time • U.S. (Travel-Based)
Recreation Engineering, LLC (REI) is hiring a Ride Inspector to perform safety and maintenance inspections on amusement rides, water parks, and entertainment facilities nationwide.
This is a field role with significant travel (20–30 weeks/year).
What You’ll Do- Inspect mechanical systems, structures, and safety components
- Evaluate compliance with safety standards and codes
- Document findings and support detailed inspection reports
- Work alongside engineers and field teams
We are specifically seeking candidates with hands-on experience in one or more of the following:
- NDT / Non-Destructive Testing
- Welding or Welding Inspection (CWI preferred)
- Amusement ride or theme park operations/maintenance (AIMS/NAARSO)
- Mechanical, industrial, or construction inspection experience
- Scuba Certifications
Additional requirements:
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- High attention to detail and safety focus
- Willingness to travel extensively
- $40,000–$65,000 (based on experience)
- Travel-based role with flexible home location
