What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substance Abuse Counselor - Weekend position at Recovery Works Healing Center?
Recovery Works Healing Center (RWHC) is an Outpatient Alcohol, Drug & Mental Health Counseling Center that prides itself on provision of the most collaborative care in the community.
The Substance Abuse Counselor is a member of a treatment team, which provides initial and ongoing diagnostic assessments; develops individualized treatment plans; and provides clinical treatment including individual and group counseling.
RWHC is currently looking for candidates to fill immediate needs for counseling individual & group sessions and possible assessments in the Vandalia location.
This is a weekend position primarily, with shifts spanning a minimum of 9:00 - 12PM, dependent on group offerings.
Previous counseling experience with the SUD population is preferred, but not required.
Required education:
High School Diploma or equivalent (required); Associate's/Bachelor's/Master's Degree (preferred).
Required Certification/License:
Required: CDCA
Preferred: LCDCII, LCDC III, LICDC, LICDC (CS), LSW, LPC

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $19.00 - $27.00 per hour
