Primary Responsibilities
- SUD Clinical Care
- Record and monitor patient vital signs, symptoms, and required measurements
- Conduct medication reconciliation under FNP supervision
- Perform office-based testing and treatments, including injections
- Process urinalysis samples and ensure proper lab documentation in KIPU EMR
- Lead medical-focused psychoeducational groups
- Assist with patient flow and clinical processes
- Administrative Tasks
- Maintain accurate and complete medical records
- Process pre-certifications, referrals, and authorizations
- Manage prescription coordination with partner pharmacies
- Schedule and coordinate patient appointments
- Support billing documentation requirements
- Assist Behavioral Health Technicians (BHT) with clinic tasks as directed
- Ensure adherence to Joint Commission standards
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect patient information
- Follow ADHS requirements
- Implement proper sterilization and OSHA procedures
- Monitor and maintain medical supplies and equipment
- Ensure proper handling of hazardous materials
- Quality & Communication
- Foster effective communication with internal and external stakeholders
- Maintain organized, clean, and functional clinical environments
- Manage inventory of medications, supplies, and equipment
- Coordinate patient care across departments

- Education & Certification
- Medical Assisting degree from an accredited institution
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Medical Assistant certification (preferred)
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Experience
- Knowledge of addiction medicine
- Behavioral health experience
- Proficiency with EMR systems
