Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and skilled Behavioral Health / Detox Technician- that is a PRN position that has experience with Patient Care to join our care team. In this flexible, as-needed role, you will provide essential support to patients and staff by assisting with daily living activities, monitoring patient status, and promoting a safe and clean environment. In this position, you will work closely with individuals dealing with various types of addiction, homelessness and mental health challenges, providing them with the necessary care. This position requires a person to work at least one full 12 hour shift a week. Staff in this role may also be contacted for on-call shifts or to fill in when the facility is short-staffed, helping ensure quality patient care is maintained.
While experience in behavioral health and withdrawal management is advantageous, it is not mandatory - all training will be provided!
Responsibilities
Provide care to detox clients and maintain facility, which involves completing daily paperwork, answering phone calls, maintaining cleanliness, and direct client care, including taking vital signs, serving meals, and administering medications as required.
We operate a small yet highly dedicated facility with 4 detox beds and a team of 10 technicians, conveniently located next to the Aspen Valley Hospital.
This position serves as an excellent entry point into the mental health field and client care, with great opportunities for advancement.

Requirements
- Must have valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
- Must be living locally within a reasonable distance from Aspen CO or be willing to relocate.
- Must be flexible with shift work coverage.
- Must be able to work scheduled shifts, to include weekends and holidays as needed, or on a rotating schedule.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen (no THC allowed), reference check and CBI background check .
- Must adhere to the company's non-discrimination policy.
- Must be able to find housing within a reasonable travel distance from Aspen.

- Required: High school diploma or equivalent
- Preferred but no Required: Current CNA certification (state-specific)
- Preferred: 6 months – 1 year of patient care experience
- Preferred but not required: Current CPR/BLS certification
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and observation skills
- Availability to work at least one shift per schedule cycle and respond to on-call needs
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, or holidays as needed
- Reliable transportation
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to respond quickly in high-pressure or emergency situations
