What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Counselor position at RECOVERY POINT WEST VIRGINIA BEHAVIORAL HEALTH INC?

Deliver individual and group therapy with clients to address their substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions (primarily major depressive disorder, anxiety disorders, PTSD, and bipolar disorder)- Guide clients in the acquisition of new skills and knowledge. Assist them in directly addressing their emotional, behavioral, and cognitive symptoms.
- Serve as lead clinician on the treatment team which meets to evaluate clients’ treatment needs, generate detailed plan for delivery of clinical services, and evaluation clients’ clinical progress for purposes of plan review and discharge.
- Provide guidance and assistance to supportive counselor as needed.
- Services will be delivered to clients via telehealth when required.
- Document therapeutic sessions and submit documentation to billing department as required for company reimbursement.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education/Qualifications: Master’s degree in counseling, Social Work, or related field. WV Licensed or Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor or Social Worker. Independent/Non-provisional licensure a plus. Experience in mental health or SUD is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Must be knowledgeable of the principles of sound therapeutic practices with the target population. Must also understand victimization and demonstrate practices sensitive to sexual abuse/assault issues in therapy. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, good critical thinking skills and supervisory skills are required. The SUD Counselor will have the ability to provide group, individual, and family counseling.
Salary : $55,911 - $80,853
