Recovery Plus for Women is looking for a dependable, compassionate, and steady Weekend Recovery Technician to support women in a long-term, faith-based, dual-diagnosis recovery program.
Weekends at Recovery Plus are active, relational, and meaningful. Our weekend staff help create a safe, structured, and encouraging environment while clients participate in recovery meetings, grocery shopping, recreational therapy, church, spiritual classes, and community-based activities. During the summer, weekend programming may also include frequent lake outings and other healthy recreational activities.
This role is a great fit for someone who is calm under pressure, firm but kind, dependable, spiritually grounded, and able to lead women with both compassion and accountability.
Position Summary
The Weekend Recovery Technician provides direct client support, supervision, transportation, structure, and encouragement during weekend programming. This position helps clients follow the daily schedule, participate in recovery-focused activities, practice life skills, and maintain a safe and respectful treatment environment.
Weekend Recovery Technicians are expected to model professionalism, healthy boundaries, emotional maturity, and consistency at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct supervision and support to clients during weekend programming
- Help maintain a safe, structured, recovery-focused environment
- Transport and supervise clients during approved activities, including AA/recovery meetings, grocery shopping, church services, spiritual class, recreational therapy. community outings, lake trips and seasonal activities
- Encourage healthy social interaction, accountability, and participation
- Support clients in practicing life skills such as budgeting, grocery planning, time management, appropriate communication, and personal responsibility
- Enforce program rules, schedules, boundaries, and expectations with consistency and respect
- Use trauma-informed communication and de-escalation when clients are upset, frustrated, or struggling
- Complete required shift documentation, notes, incident reports, and communication updates
- Communicate concerns promptly to supervisors and leadership
- Assist with medication observation/documentation processes as assigned and within program policy
- Conduct wellness checks and help monitor client safety
- Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries at all times
- Serve as a positive example of stability, accountability, and recovery-minded living
What Weekends Look Like
Weekends are designed to help clients experience recovery in real life, not just in a classroom. Staff may be helping clients get ready for the day, transporting them to recovery meetings, taking them grocery shopping, supporting church attendance, leading or supervising recreational activities, helping with evening routines, or simply being a calm and steady presence when clients need direction.
This position requires someone who can be both encouraging and firm. The right person will understand that structure is part of love, accountability is part of recovery, and consistency matters.

Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid driver’s license required
- Acceptable driving record required
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must be able to pass drug screening according to program standards
- Must maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries
- Must be comfortable working with women who have mental health and substance use recovery needs
- Experience in recovery, behavioral health, residential care, peer support, ministry, caregiving, or human services is preferred but not required
Schedule
Weekend position.
Saturday and Sunday availability required.
