What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinician position at Recovery Now Holdings?

We are looking for Clinician(s) to join the Recovery Now team! We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated substance abuse counselor to help provide direction and support for our patients. In this role, you will be responsible for developing treatment and recovery plans, and identifying behaviors that impede rehabilitation. You will also be required to facilitate individual and group therapy sessions. Evaluate clients' mental and physical health, addiction, or problematic behavior and assess their readiness for treatment. Assist clients in developing skills and behaviors necessary to recover from their addiction or modify their behavior. We need either a LPCA, LPCC, LCADC, LCADCA, CADC, CSW or LCSW. Hours are from 8am to 9 pm, schedule will be worked out according to need and availability.

Job Description

  • Delivers client care according to the Recovery Now philosophy to clients suffering from addictive disease disorders, related substance abuse or chemical dependency problems.
  • Performs direct to client clinical services.
  • Provides quality care to Recovery Now clients.
  • Facilitates Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) Groups.
  • Facilitates Individual Services, including Intake, Assessment, Treatment Planning, Counseling, and Discharge Planning.
  • Commitment to Recovery Now Mission and Vision.

Main Responsibilities/Principal Objectives/Key Result Areas

  • Perform thorough substance abuse assessments; provide individual therapy.
  • Spearhead the development of rehabilitation programs serving adults with chemical dependency.
  • Follow all ethical CARF standards when treating the residential client.
  • Facilitate stabilization, assessment, care and compassion for those in critical need.
  • Provide CBT and motivational interviewing for individual and group therapy to clients' who are on methadone.
  • Use motivational interviewing to lead recovery and therapy groups for IOP and PHP programs.
  • Complete initial assessment and provide diagnosis with referral for medication evaluation as needed.
  • Create and implement psycho-educational groups pertaining to substance abuse and behavioral health.
  • Facilitate after care plans for all patients with appropriate community outreach/resources, medication management, therapeutic appointments.
  • Treat co-occurring disorders including PTSD, complex trauma, OCD, and social anxiety.
  • Monitor master treatment plan; prepare and maintain records per HIPPA and other federal guidelines.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in counseling preferred.
  • Current license to practice medicine in the state where work was performed
  • Must have current CPR certification
  • Previous experience with the treatment of substance abuse disorders.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems like KIPU would be advantageous.
  • Application of the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services’ (SAMHSA) best practice indicators.
  • In-depth knowledge of drug and alcohol testing to monitor treatment plans and medical instructions.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a compassionate nature.
  • Review all documentation related to services provided by providers.
  • Managing all aspects of a case from date of entry to date of discharge.
  • Evaluating patients' physical and mental behaviors.
  • Developing appropriate treatment and recovery plans.
  • Facilitating individual and group therapy sessions.
  • Monitoring patients over time to access treatment progress.
  • Collaborating with psychiatrists, doctors, nurses, social workers, and departments of correction.
  • Identifying behaviors that interfere with treatment and recovery.
  • Assisting primary caregivers to manage addiction-related behavior.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $52,864.00 per year
