Staff Accountant

Location: Dallas, TX

Recovery Monitoring Solutions is a leading national provider of drug testing, treatment and offender monitoring services, with corporate offices in Dallas, TX.

POSITION SUMMARY

Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Assist the Controller with the day-to-day, monthly and year-end operations of the Accounting Department.
2. Review monthly credit card expense reports and bimonthly payroll reimbursement reports submitted by cardholders through the company’s expense reporting software, Concur.
3. Prepare and record journal entries allocated by office location for month-end close and year-end close.
4. Manage fixed assets within NetSuite fixed asset management system and process monthly depreciation.
5. Perform general accounts analysis and reconciliations including payroll, accruals, prepaid expenses, deferred revenue, bad debt expense, and employer benefits.
6. Assist in the preparation of financial reports such as financial statements and budget performance, and quarterly financial reports by region.
7. Create reports and import/export data within the accounting software, NetSuite, based on criteria given and sent to applicable employees.
8. Other duties as assigned.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field.
2. 1 year in accounting function
3. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Excel.  Pivot Table and V-Lookup skills preferred
4. Effective verbal and written communication skills required.
5. Clear criminal background preferred
6. Bend, stoop, lift objects up to 15lbs, and maintain mobility necessary to perform minimum functions associated with position.
