Under the strategic direction of the Program Director, the Program Manager is responsible for the comprehensive implementation, oversight, and evolution of programs serving adult populations, including individuals with Serious Mental Illness (SMI), dual diagnoses, and those referred through partner agencies. This role ensures that all services align with the Recovery Empowerment Network (REN) philosophy and values while maintaining rigorous administrative and service delivery standards.
Requirements:Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Operational Leadership & Compliance
Program Oversight:
- Manages program functions and implements policies and procedures to ensure high-performance standards and contractual compliance.
Strategic Growth:
- Develops and executes specific initiatives that align with REN’s strategic plan to enhance service delivery and expand membership.
Quality Assurance:
- Conducts regular sampling audits of member documentation and progress notes to ensure data validation standards are met.
Performance Metrics:
- Utilizes the Rubric Grading System and TrackStar "Daily Snapshots" to monitor productivity and quality.
Curriculum Development:
- Continuously evaluates and updates group and class curricula to ensure content remains relevant, high-quality, and evidence-based.
Administrative Management
Data Integrity:
- Oversees timely billing submission and progress documentation via REN software.
Personnel Records:
- Manages administrative requirements for direct reports, including timekeeping, mileage, and reimbursement requests.
Resource Coordination:
- Schedules groups and manages "Road Maps" in accordance with current organizational policies.
People & Performance Management
Talent Development:
- Participates in the recruitment and selection of qualified staff, providing comprehensive orientation and ongoing on-the-job training.
Performance Coaching:
- Defines clear roles, responsibilities, and accountability standards; conducts regular performance reviews and identifies professional development needs.
Leadership Presence:
- Maintains high visibility and accessibility, serving as a professional role model and guiding the team through organizational change.
Requirements & Qualifications
Knowledge & Skills
- Deep understanding of behavioral health recovery principles, cultural competency, and SMI diagnoses.
- Proficiency in state and local behavioral health licensure regulations and available community resources.
- Advanced communication skills (written and oral) with the ability to manage crises and work under pressure.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Education & Experience
- Lived Experience: This position requires personal lived experience in recovery.
- Supervisory Experience: 2–5 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Education (Recommended): AA Degree or higher, supplemented by five (5) years of full-time experience working with individuals with disabilities.
- Preferred Credentials: Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) credentialing, Peer Support Training, and/or Peer Support Certification.
Certifications & Other Mandates
- Minimum age of 21.
- Valid Arizona Driver’s License and a satisfactory 39-month Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Current CPR, First Aid certifications, and a current TB clearance.
- Bilingual proficiency is preferred but not required.
