Position Summary
Recovery Coaching Services is seeking an additional Supervisor/Team Leader who is a respected professional in the field of substance use recovery and behavioral health with a passion for ensuring individuals with substance use disorder (SUD) have access to quality support and treatment.
This position provides leadership, mentorship, and oversight to recovery coaches while ensuring compliance with documentation standards, service expectations, and organizational policies.
The Team Leader is responsible for supporting coach development, conducting supervision, overseeing documentation quality, and maintaining strong relationships with referral partners. The ideal candidate will be skilled at building collaborative teams, supporting professional development, and maintaining high standards of service delivery.

Principal Duties and ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership Responsibilities
· Provide leadership, supervision, and mentorship to recovery coaches
· Review documentation and provide compliance oversight through regular chart audits
· Facilitate regular team meetings and provide training on key service areas
· Conduct one-on-one supervision meetings with team members to support professional growth
· Assist with onboarding and training of new recovery coaches
· Support performance reviews and professional development planning
· Maintain strong relationships with referral partners and assist with referral management
· Promote a team culture based on trust, transparency, respect, and professional growth
· Ensure staff comply with all confidentiality requirements including 42 CFR Part 2, HIPAA, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations
· Support staff compliance with required trainings and professional development
· Implement best practices in peer recovery support services
· Maintain systems for evaluating staff performance and service quality
· Foster open communication, collaboration, and shared decision-making among team members
· Assist with development and maintenance of referral partnerships
· Other duties as assigned
Coaching Responsibilities
Team Leaders will also maintain a caseload and provide direct recovery coaching services, including:
· Conduct participant intakes
· Contact newly assigned participants within 24 hours
· Complete the Recovery Capital Scale during the second session
· Develop an individualized Recovery Action Plan (RAP) within 30 days
· Develop a Relapse Prevention Plan within 60 days
· Utilize the Relapse Prevention Workbook included in participant charts
· Meet regularly with participants and families based on the participant’s RAP
· Facilitate group sessions as needed
· Complete required progress notes within 48 hours of sessions
· Assist participants in achieving recovery goals including housing, employment, education, court requirements, and recovery support engagement
· Coordinate with participant referral sources
· Administer drug testing as required
· Provide weekly updates to referral sources
· Participate in staff meetings and supervision
· Assist in organizing and facilitating group or sober activities
· Coordinate referrals to therapy, medical services, and other community resources
· Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesKey Competencies
· Professional experience in addiction recovery, behavioral health, or peer support services
· Knowledge of recovery-oriented systems of care and the continuum from prevention to treatment
· Understanding of documentation standards and compliance requirements
· Strong leadership, mentorship, and team development skills
· Ability to build strong professional relationships with staff and community partners
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
· Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy

· Commitment to recovery-focused and person-centered services
Minimum Qualifications
Required
· Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS) in Pennsylvania
· Experience in recovery coaching, peer support, or behavioral health services
· Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, or supervisory experience
· Strong documentation and organizational skills
· Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
· Cultural competence working with diverse populations impacted by substance use disorder
Preferred
· Certified Recovery Specialist Supervisor (CRSS) in Pennsylvania
· Experience supervising recovery coaches or peer staff
· Experience working with courts, treatment providers, or referral networks
· Experience facilitating recovery groups or educational sessions
