What are the responsibilities and job description for the PRN- Licensed Therapist- Cincinnati Aspire position at Recovery Center of Ohio, LLC?
Aspire Afterschool Therapeutic Program is looking for a compassionate Part-time Licensed Social Worker/ Therapist who is currently licensed in Ohio. The ideal candidate should be motivated to help serve the community by assisting children who are affected by mental health and behavioral disorders. You will be in charge of contacting referrals and providing assessments for potential clients to determine whether they qualify for services and render a diagnosis. You will need to listen actively and ask pertinent questions. You should also have strong communication skills and be able to communicate via telehealth with children and adolescents and their guardians.
A key to succeeding in this role is the ability to stay calm and empathize with clients when they are upset, but also be able to set boundaries. You should also be aware of others’ reactions and understand why they react as they do. You will need to listen actively and ask pertinent questions.
The ideal schedule is 4 to 7 pm, 3 to 5 days per week, Monday - Friday. There is flexibility to negotiate this schedule.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assisting clients in receiving services in person.
- Assessing cases and compiling case reports containing relevant information.
- Ensuring that case reports are kept up to date.
- Providing support, guidance, and counsel to clients/families in need.
- Getting clients involved in beneficial activities.
- Assessing clients and gathering relevant information.
- Offering information and supporting clients and their families.
- Contacting and making referrals to other agencies and services.
- Maintaining accurate records and preparing reports.
- Participating in training, supervision, and meetings.
- Provide crisis intervention.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Active LMSW/LCSW/LISW/LPCC licensure from Ohio
- Experience working with clients who are affected by mental health and behavioral disorders.
- Ability to give full attention to what social service clients are saying, understand the points being made, ask questions, and not interrupt inappropriately.
- Awareness of others’ reactions and understanding why they react as they do.
- Comfortable using a computer for various tasks.
- Proficient in word, excel, outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to stay calm and empathize with clients when they are upset.
- Able to develop a treatment plan.
- Knowledge of crisis intervention.
- Valid driver's license.
