The Recovery Center of Maryland is looking for a highly skilled and knowledgeable leader to serve as Facility Director, overseeing the daily operations, maintenance, and management of an organization's physical buildings and grounds to ensure a safe, functional, and compliant environment. Key responsibilities include managing facility staff and budgets, coordinating maintenance and repairs for buildings and systems, developing and implementing preventative maintenance programs, ensuring compliance with safety and building codes, and managing vendor contracts.
Key Responsibilities
- Staff & Operations Management: Supervising and evaluating department staff and external contractors.
- Scheduling staff for maintenance, repairs, and custodial duties.
- The role also involves coordinating the daily operations and work activities of the facilities team.
- Budget & Financial Management: Developing and monitoring the department's operating budget.
- Preparing budget requests, including projections for personnel, equipment, and capital projects.
- The role also involves the management of expenditures and the optimization of operational costs.
- Facility Maintenance & Infrastructure: Implementing and overseeing preventative maintenance programs for buildings and grounds.
- Coordinating repairs and renovations for mechanical, electrical, and other systems.
- Ensuring buildings and equipment are in a constant state of repair and cleanliness.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensuring the facility adheres to all federal, state, and local regulations, including ADA compliance.
- The responsibilities also include the development and implementation of safety policies and procedures.
- Strategic Planning & Vendor Relations: Planning, communication, and coordination of maintenance, improvements, renovations, and new construction.
- Negotiating contracts with third-party vendors for necessary services and supplies.
- Developing and implementing policies to support efficient and safe facility operations.
