Recore Electrical Contractors is seeking an Electrical Quality Control Inspector who will be responsible for ensuring that all electrical construction activities comply with project specifications, applicable codes, standards, and quality requirements. This role involves inspections, documentation, testing verification, and coordination with project teams to maintain high-quality workmanship throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review project specifications, drawings, and standards before work begins
- Ensure all work plans, ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans), and procedures are approved and followed
- Monitor contractor quality programs and compliance with project requirements
- Conduct pre-installation meetings and quality briefings with crews
- Verify materials and equipment meet approved submittals and specifications
Quality Control:
- Perform routine inspections of electrical installations including:
- Cable tray and conduit installation
- Cable pulling and terminations
- Grounding and bonding systems
- Switchgear, MCCs, panels, and instrumentation
- Witness and document testing activities such as:
- Insulation resistance (megger) testing
- Continuity testing
- Functional and loop checks
- Identify non-conformances (NCRs) and ensure corrective actions are implemented
- Maintain punch lists and verify closure of deficiencies
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate QA/QC records, inspection reports, and test results
- Track and log inspections, deficiencies, and corrective actions
- Ensure as-built drawings are updated to reflect field changes
- Prepare daily, weekly, and final quality reports
Coordination:
- Work closely with construction managers, engineers, and subcontractors
- Interface with client representatives and third-party inspectors
- Support commissioning and turnover activities
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical degree preferred)
- 3–10 years of experience in industrial electrical construction or QA/QC
- Strong knowledge of:
- Electrical systems and installation practices
- Applicable codes (e.g., NEC, IEC, or project-specific standards)
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
- Experience with inspection and testing procedures
Preferred Certifications:
- QA/QC certifications (e.g., ISO 9001 familiarity or auditor training)
- Electrical license (journeyman or master, depending on region)
- OSHA safety certification (e.g., OSHA 10/30)
- NICET or similar inspection certification (optional but valuable)

- Ability to work in field environments (including outdoor/industrial conditions)
Work Environment:
- Industrial construction site (may include power plants, manufacturing facilities, oil & gas, etc.)
- Exposure to outdoor conditions, noise, and active construction zones
- Requires PPE and adherence to strict safety protocols
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to walk job sites for extended periods
- Climb ladders, scaffolding, and access elevated areas
- Lift moderate loads (as required)
