Position Summary
The Recording Library of West Texas is seeking an Outreach & Marketing Director to increase awareness of our mission, expand community partnerships, grow client and volunteer engagement, and support the organization's financial sustainability.
This position serves as a key ambassador for RLWT throughout West Texas and is responsible for community outreach, marketing and communications, grant writing, partnership development, and fundraising support.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement marketing and outreach strategies to increase awareness of RLWT programs and services.
- Manage social media, website content, newsletters, promotional materials, press releases, and other communications.
- Represent RLWT at community events, health fairs, schools, civic organizations, healthcare facilities, and professional meetings.
- Build relationships with healthcare providers, schools, libraries, senior centers, veterans' organizations, nonprofits, businesses, and other community partners.
- Increase client referrals and enrollment through outreach and referral partnerships.
- Recruit and engage volunteers and develop community partnership opportunities.
- Research grant opportunities and prepare competitive grant proposals in collaboration with the Executive Director.
- Manage grant deadlines, reporting requirements, supporting documentation, and funding records.
- Assist with donor cultivation, sponsorships, fundraising campaigns, and special events.
- Track outreach, marketing, referral, enrollment, volunteer, and grant activity and prepare reports measuring results.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Nonprofit Management, English, Journalism, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Three or more years of relevant experience in marketing, communications, nonprofit development, fundraising, grant writing, or community outreach are preferred.
- Grant writing experience is highly desirable.
- Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Experience with social media, digital marketing, Microsoft Office, Canva, and CRM systems preferred.
- Ability to build strong relationships with community partners, donors, volunteers, and funding organizations.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to travel throughout the Permian Basin and West Texas.
- Valid Texas driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds for outreach materials, event supplies, and related activities.
- Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.

Salary
- $55,000-$60,000
