Maintenance Foreman

$100,000 to $120,000 – Commensurate on Experience

Job Summary:

  • ReConserve of MN is looking for highly motivated, excellent career-oriented team members that have experience troubleshooting and repairing a variety of grain conveying and processing equipment.
  • You will be directly managing projects and planning maintenance activities for multiple shifts on a daily basis along with leading efforts to improve plant efficiency through predictive and preventative maintenance
  • This position will be assisting the mechanics as needed with installing, repairing, maintaining and refurbishing all equipment as it pertains to the production/manufacturing of grain-based products.

Work Schedule:

  • Generally, Monday through Friday day shift, yet able to work off shift hours or weekends as needed
  • On call for off shift emergency repairs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform with efficiency and excellence all tasks in a safe manner in compliance with safety programs and procedures.
  • Identify, plan and drive the successful completion of plant projects and repairs
  • Ensure continued compliance with EH&S and regulatory policies and permits
  • Work directly with vendors and contractors for parts ordering, project scope planning/quoting and as front-line contact for projects
  • Observe and test the operation of equipment to diagnose malfunctions and initiate appropriate repairs.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on processing equipment and ancillary equipment.
  • Knowledge in blueprints and schematics with the ability to read.
  • Experience with fabrication is essential.
  • Ability to weld and cut parts using arc-welding and wire welding as well as flame cutting equipment.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic lift systems used on mobile powered equipment.
  • Knowledge of single and three phase electrical systems with the ability to troubleshoot and fix electrical problems including wiring up to 480 volts.
  • Manage parts inventory and critical spares
  • Ability to operate shop equipment such as drill press, band saw, bench grinder, etc.
  • Operate a forklift, skid loader, front end loader and miscellaneous equipment as needed to complete duties.
  • Improve and sustain existing preventative maintenance program
  • Maintain your work areas and facilities properly.

Required Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED degree or related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on maintenance in industrial facilities
  • You must have reliable transportation to be available for work 24/7.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Physical Demands and Requirements: This job can be physically strenuous (demanding) from time to time. You will be expected to be able to work in tight and or confined spaces, walk, climb, bend, kneel, lift, grip, grasp, push and pull various tools and equipment. You will need the ability to frequently lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds and occasionally more. This job will require the ability to ascend/descend ladders and work at varying heights from time to time.

  • Preventative and Reactive Maintenance: 5 years
  • Troubleshooting: 5 years
  • Welding/Fabrication: 3 years
  • Electrical diagnosis and repair: 3 years
  • Project Management: 2 years
  • Maintenance Planning: 2 years

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
