What are the responsibilities and job description for the Local Class A Driver - PM shift position at ReConserve Inc?
Overview
ReConserve of Minnesota is looking for an afternoon/evening local full-time Class A driver. The shift is Wednesday - Saturday 1:00PM - 11:00PM. This position is responsible for driving company owned vehicles to local bakeries, picking up bakery waste to be processed into livestock feed. We utilize multiple trailer types including roll off's, end dumps, walking floor and container trailers. The bakery waste is unloaded into our manufacturing plant where it is converted into livestock feed. We are looking for individuals with a safe driving record, and who want to be part of an organization that values integrity, respect, and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Operate various types of commercial vehicles, including dry van, end dumps, roll-off, container trailers, and tankers.
- Navigate assigned routes efficiently to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Load and unload cargo safely and securely.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- 3 years of safe driving experience.
- Familiarity with operating roll-off truck, end dump, and tanker vehicles is preferred.
- Must be comfortable with a drug screen and criminal background check.
- Must be willing to work occasional overtime.
