Primary Therapists provide therapy for individuals with mental health disorders, including but not limited to assessment, treatment planning, individual and group therapy, client education, discharge planning and referral, all of which will be reflected by accurate record keeping.
- Be punctual, professional, and respectful
- Able to assess clients and develop treatment goals using client input, client
strengths, needs and preferences
- Develop and maintain therapeutic relationships with clients and their
families
- Accurately assess clients and develop individualized treatment goals, using
client input, and client strengths, abilities, needs and preferences
- Provide ongoing therapeutic interventions to assist clients in overcoming
challenges
- Produce assessments, complete notes, treatment plans, and other records.
Comprehensive group, individual, and clinical notes are completed within 24
hours.
- Work in collaboration with other professionals as part of a treatment team
- Document treatment plans, and other records in a timely manner
- Utilization review, ASAM for insurance companies
- Accurate and timely completion of administrative responsibilities; including
but not limited to: weekly progress notes, insurance updates,
communication with outside referral sources, and attendance at staffing
meetings
- Maintain a caseload with as many clients as deemed fit by the Clinical
Director
- Maintain daily communication with behavioral health staff regarding client
behavior
- Maintain daily communication with discharge planner, working to ensure
seamless discharge planning
- Maintain cleanliness within personal workspace
- Perform any additional tasks as assigned by supervisor
Other Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW)
- Licensed or in the process of getting licensed (LCSW, LMHC, LPC, or LCAS)
- Doctorate in Psychology or Philosophy (PsyD, PhD)
- 3 – 5 Years’ Experience in Mental Health, or Behavioral Health.
Starting salary will be based upon experience.
