Field Operations Manager – Northeast Region

About the Role
The Northeast Region (NER) Construction Field Operations Manager is responsible for leading, developing, and managing the entire Field Operations Department within the Northeast Region Construction Global Practice. This includes hiring, resource assignment, onboarding, training, leadership, field performance, and overall operational execution.
The manager will oversee Field Operations Section Managers and select Site Managers, ensuring consistent safety, quality, workforce development, and project support across the region. This is a strategic leadership role that shapes field execution, safety culture, staff development, and operational excellence.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
* Ensure department-wide adherence to all safety programs, policies, and training initiatives.
* Collaborate with project teams to manage Safety & Health performance for project personnel and contractors.
* Obtain LOTO certification and support certification for superintendents and site managers.
* Coordinate with Project Managers and Department Managers to assign qualified Field Operations resources to EPC and Program Management projects.
* Align field operations staffing with regional and corporate construction leadership.
* Lead recruitment, interviewing, hiring, training, development, retention, and succession planning of Field Operations staff.
* Conduct interviews for Superintendents, Site Managers, and Section Managers.
* Serve as Site Manager for strategic or critical projects as needed.
* Lead onboarding, staff development, performance reviews, mentoring, and goal setting.
* Develop or interpret policies and procedures in collaboration with safety and quality teams.
* Anticipate and solve problems with creativity, foresight, and sound judgment.
* Support business development efforts, including client-facing interactions.
* Improve department tools, workflows, and execution efficiency.
* Ensure efficient utilization of staff, quality performance, and cost-effective project execution.
* Provide leadership, guidance, and direction at all organizational levels.
* Promote capabilities of the department internally and externally.
